Bangkok Luggage Storage: Where to Store Your Luggage After Checking Out of Your Hotel or Airbnb

where to store your luggage in bangkok

What to do with your luggage between checkout and your flight

In Bangkok there are a couple easy, affordable and secure places to store your luggage after checkout if you have a lot of time between when you have to leave your room and your flight. Both of these services offer luggage storage as well as airport delivery.

Luggage storage allows you to drop your luggage off for a few hours, a day or more, and then pick it up when you’re ready to head to the airport. Their luggage delivery option means they’ll deliver your luggage (or stuff you buy when you’re out shopping) to the two main airports in Bangkok (BKK and DMK) — at the day and time you specify. You pick up your luggage or parcels at their counter inside the airport.

The prices below are for luggage storage, not delivery.

Airportels at Central World

This is the one I chose for this trip. They had a special at the time: two free hours, or 100฿ ($3.30) per day, per piece. I only needed a couple of hours, so this was totally free.

How to get there: Take the BTS to Siam station and take exit marked Central World — this leads to the BTS skywalk. The skywalk is a covered pedestrian walkway that connects Siam to other BTS stations and the major shopping malls, like Central World and Platinum Shopping Mall.

Just follow the signs on the walkway (don’t get off the walkway or turn, just continue straight on) until you get to Central World. From Siam station, Central World will be on the left

Go into Central World and once you are inside (you’ll be indoors with restaurants and shops), take the first escalator down (you’ll see a sign that reads The Offices at Central World — this is where you’re going). Once you take the escalator down, head toward the Offices at Central World and enter through the glass doorway.

Once you are inside, you’ll see escalators on your right. Don’t take these, but go past them and turn right and walk through the glass doors. You’ll see the tourist information station on the left and also on the left, just past the tourist information desk, you’ll see the luggage storage desk on the right.

Lock Box Plus at Siam Paragon

Lock Box Plus charges by size (small, medium and large) and they have a per hour or per day charge. This is a great choice if you know for certain you just need an hour. Their per day charge is more than Airportels, but if you just need an hour, or just don’t want to bother walking the 7 minutes or so to Central World (hey, when it’s super hot, 7 minutes on an open air walkway might not be your thing!), Lock Box Plus might be your best choice.

Small luggage 30฿ $1/hour 180฿ $5.95/day
Medium luggage 40฿ $1.30/hour 240฿ $7.95/day
Large luggage 50฿ $1.65/hour 300฿ $9.90/day

How to get there: Just get off at Siam BTS station, take the exit for Paragon Siam and head to the basement floor.

How it works

You’ll be asked to produce your passport so they can take some information and they’ll need your contact information and a signature. You’ll get a receipt, which you will need to claim your luggage. When you come to collect your luggage, all you need is the receipt and to pay whatever you owe (if anything) and that’s it. You’re on your way. It’s easy and fast.
